A starry nighty drawing. ~~
I watched my friends playing and I imagined them playing under the starry sky...like they were in a fantasy book, as a team.
You know, when they stop for the night on a field and speak and play after eating until they fall asleep. ~~ And I missed a bard's voice so much from the scene...so I drew him!
Hope the sweet melody is there in the pic!

I love this piece. As Errant said, there's a lot said in his pose, expression, and the overall composition. His neck is really long, but I actually don't think that's a flaw. It might be a randomly generated feature, but I think it adds to the emotion of the piece--separating it from more impressionistic fantasy artwork and putting it into a more expressive class.
I'd really love to see a more polished version, maybe color, maybe just cleaner lines. On the other hand, while I don't often like rough looks like this piece has, it might lose something by being put into hard lines. Perhaps that sepia/parchment look would flatter it.
